Screenfire® Media LLC was founded in 2016 by marketing industry veteran Marc Zasada, who continues to lead the company. Leadership

Marc Zasada

Marc Zasada (Founder & Managing Director) has worked with global leaders like Microsoft, Dell/EMC, Panasonic, Oracle, Sharp, Alcatel, ATT Wireless, MasterCard, Falcon’s Beyond Global and others in the technology, healthcare, energy, aerospace, marketing, legal, and financial industries for 25+ years. He brings a deep global understanding of editorial workflows, joint marketing with partners, and localization for multiple world markets. Before founding Screenfire, Marc was the Editorial Solutions Architect for Lionbridge Global Digital Marketing, a former on-air commentator at NPR (KCRW-LA), former managing editor of Los Angeles Downtown News, co-founder of VeriTest, Inc., and a highly-published journalist with credits from the L.A. Times, All Things Considered, San Francisco Chronicle and many others. Marc is a graduate of Stanford University.

Max Porter

Max Porter (Digital Marketing Director) has broad experience in entertainment, video game, law, and technology marketing, including extensive SEM and SEO work across Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. Before joining Screenfire, he developed content and marketing for leading AAA video games, did script development for Lakeshore Entertainment, Character/Lore/PR development for Falcon’s Beyond Global, and content for the Dell/EMC solution partner program—as well as driving fan communications for City State Entertainment. He is a graduate of UCLA English Creative Writing, where his work in modern literature derived from ancient myths helps him weave compelling storylines for client communications.

Chuck Ellis

Chuck Ellis (Content Marketing Director) is a media producer turned marketer—Chuck has covered a lot of ground in his career. He’s worked on campaigns with ABC News, NPR, Big Green Egg, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Bubba Foods, Fracture, Prochant, Earwolf, and Conan O’Brien. As a content producer, he’s crafted marketing and advertising messaging in the television, food safety, home decor, real estate, and healthcare industries. As a data driven creative, he loves finding ways to make marketing a measurable and critical profit driver for his clients. When he’s not up crafting market strategies solving content problems, he can be found busting his knuckles on the 1964 Valiant in his workshop.

Jennifer Chap

Jennifer Chap (Senior Brand Strategist) is an expert in the relationship between consumer and brand, connecting the dots from human behavior to business strategy—with a specialization in hospitality, luxury resorts, and entertainment. For 10 years, she served in leadership roles at Universal Orlando, including VP Advertising & Research, VP Strategic Planning & Research for Universal Studios Florida, and VP Marketing for Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Prior to joining Screenfire, Jennifer co-founded StrataVerve, Inc. (a Screenfire research delivery partner), where for 20+ years she has worked with world-class brands including Bahia Mar Resort in the Caribbean, The Bahamas Islands tourist board, Meliá Hotels International, Katmandu Group (Spain), Universal Beijing Resort, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, LEGOLAND, Nassau Paradise Island Promotions Board, Yosemite National Park, Outward Bound USA, Special Olympics USA Games Orlando, and others. Jennifer started her career at BBDO Chicago.  A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Jennifer also completed the AAAA Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies program, Northwestern University.

Larry Dustin

Larry Dustin (Senior Market Strategist, Travel & Hospitality) has served in leading roles throughout the hospitality and travel industries and brings exceptional senior leadership experience to Screenfire clients.  His previous positions include Senior Vice President, Lodging, Universal Studios; President, Mobil Travel Guide; Development Officer, Westin Hotels & Resorts; Senior Vice President of Operations & Passenger Services, Sitmar Cruises; as well as other leadership positions in major companies. Larry has additionally served on the Boards of Directors of CNL Hospitality Properties, one of the nation’s largest hotel REITs; iBAHN, the pioneering internet protocol provider for the global lodging industry; and AIRCOA Hospitality Services, where he also served as President – along with advisory boards for Above Property, LLC; Eleven Software; and Katmandu Park & Resort. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.

Youssou Ba

Youssou Ba (Sr. Research & Consumer Strategist) brings 30+ years of experience in deep market research and consulting, including time with DK Shifflet & Associates and other agencies. He has worked with clients as diverse as Delta Faucet, Universal Studios, Schwan’s Food, La-Z-Boy, Orange Lake Resort, Yosemite Parks, Nassau Paradise Island, Outward Bound, and many others. Youssou offers an exceptional talent for identifying the key actionable insight buried in a ton of data—then building an evidence-based consumer story based on that insight. He is a founder of the award-winning StrataVerve research boutique, and holds a Master’s in Finance from the University of Baltimore and a Master’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota.

Karen Ba (Sr. Research & Consumer Strategist) offers 25+ years of experience in consumer research and brand strategy consulting, including client-side and consulting work with General Mills, as well as serving clients in packaged goods, B2B, and the travel industry;  Land O’Lakes, Kemps Dairy, Ecolab, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, Baha Mar Resort, and many others. She studied international development and research as an undergrad and holds an MS in Marketing with a specialty in Market Research from the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research. She is a partner in the award-winning StrataVerve research boutique, and brings a true passion for delving into the consumer experience: digging deep into data to illuminate a new synthesis and find hidden, usable insights for leading brands.
